PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW NO. 6698 INFORMATION NOTICE
Information Text on Processing of Personal Data
This Information Text on Processing of Personal Data ("Information Text") is presented by Balpet Petroleum Products Transportation Industry and Trade Joint Stock Company ("Company") as the data controller, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law numbered 6698 ("PDPL"), within the framework of Article 10 titled "Obligation to Inform the Data Controller" and Article 11 titled "Rights of the Data Subject" in the PDPL; to inform you about the purposes for which your personal data will be processed, to whom and for what purposes your personal data may be transferred, the method of collecting your personal data, its legal basis, and your other rights specified in Article 11 of the PDPL, and to obtain your consent on the following matters.
We attach great importance to the confidentiality and security of the personal data you provide to us. In this regard, we take necessary technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, damage, loss, or disclosure.
Why Do We Collect Your Data?
The Company processes your personal data that you have shared through the Company's website and other channels mentioned in this information text, within the limits of the purposes stated in this information text.
The Company's address is Tatlısu Mah. Akif İnan Sok. No:10 Ümraniye/İstanbul Tax Number: 139 026 2335. In terms of PDPL, the Company operates as the "Data Controller."
By visiting the Company's website and/or sharing your personal data with the Company for the purposes stated in this information text, and by being informed about the provisions in this information text, you are deemed to have been informed.
The services we provide require the processing of personal and/or specially qualified personal data of the relevant individuals. In this context, the collected personal data is processed in accordance with the relevant article of the PDPL.
Your collected personal data may be processed by the Company for the following purposes, in accordance with the basic principles stipulated by the Law and within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, and subject to the exceptions specified in Article 28 of the Law:
1- To promote the products and services offered by our Company, to identify members and increase communication, enhance the Company's image, improve its products, services, and communication, prepare and send special promotions/advertisements/campaigns and announcements to customers, provide customers with a better shopping experience, conduct customer surveys, customer satisfaction applications, and notifications, conduct audits, data analysis, research, statistical studies, understanding trends, using in marketing and advertising services, and ensuring the compliance of our activities within the scope of other loyalty programs with the relevant legislation,
2- For the realization of commercial activities conducted by the Company, performing the necessary work by our relevant business units, and conducting related business processes accordingly,
3- Planning and execution of the Company's commercial and/or business strategies,
4- Ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial security of individuals related to the Company and the Company's business relationships,
5- Fulfilling the obligations undertaken in contracts we have entered into in accordance with the relevant legislation, fulfilling our legal obligations, and exercising our rights arising from the current legislation,
6- In case of a request and legal obligation regarding public safety, providing information to public officials in accordance with the legislation,
7- Being used as evidence in potential disputes.
- As the Data Controller, we are obliged to fulfill our legal responsibilities arising from the applicable laws, especially the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("PDPL"), the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237, the Law on the Regulation of Publications Made on the Internet and Combatting Crimes Committed Through These Publications No. 5651, and relevant secondary legislation, Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce and relevant secondary legislation, and all other applicable legislation, and, for the purpose of enabling our customers to benefit from our services, with your express consent, our company may obtain, record, keep, update, reorganize, disclose, transfer, share, and process your personal data by taking the necessary administrative and technical measures within the framework of the Law in the following ways: (name-surname, address, profession, education, marital status, date and place of birth, email, phone number, gender, identity, data shared by the user on social media platforms through the use of those platforms, navigation and click data on the application, location data where the application is opened).
How Do We Collect Personal Data About You?
Personal data directly provided by you: All information and documents you transmit to us.
Personal data collected about you from third parties: Information and documents collected from institutions and organizations in cooperation with the Company, contractual vendors, partners, technology service providers, audit firms, or official institutions such as the General Directorate of Security and the Risk Center, with which the Company has a legal or organic connection, and Group Companies affiliated with the Company.
Your personal data collected through cookies and similar technologies may be collected automatically or non-automatically, in writing, verbally, or electronically, through our company's dealers, factories, call center, Company and/or affiliate internet sites, www.bpet.com.tr, and similar other channels, provided that it is in compliance with the Law.
Who Do We Share Your Personal Data With?
- Our company will share your personal data only in cases where your express consent is obtained or in other cases stipulated in Article 5/f.2 of the PDPL and within the framework of the security and confidentiality principles stipulated in the PDPL, especially the applicable legislation, in order to carry out the activities of the Company, provide services, opportunities, and offers to our customers, and improve the service quality, with Group Companies of the Company, both directly and indirectly, domestic/foreign subsidiaries, institutions we have a contractual relationship with as a result of our activities, suppliers, contracted vendors, business partners, technology service providers, audit firms, or public institutions authorized to request this data due to a legal obligation.
What Are Your Rights?
- It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and up to date. Therefore, please inform us of any changes in your personal data. Otherwise, we would like to remind you that we will not be responsible for inaccuracies in the data held in our systems. Within the framework of Article 11 of the Law, your rights are as follows:
You can apply to our Company to: a) Learn whether your personal data is being processed, b) Request information if your personal data has been processed, c) Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose, d) Know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, whether within Turkey or abroad, e) Request correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect, f) Request deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law, g) Request notification of the transactions made pursuant to subparagraphs (d) and (e) to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, h) Object to a result against you arising from the analysis of your personal data exclusively
